Pac-12 Week 11 Review

The conferences game of the year was great along with a couple of other really close games.

Oregon was my number 1 team and had a clear path to the national title if they could just get by Stanford, but the offense decided to get shut down and Stanford puled out the huge win. The Cardinal are now at the top of the conference and should be able to make the Rose Bowl for a second year in a row, while Oregon now has just 2 losses in the last two years, both coming to Stanford. Oregon could still make the conference title if Stanford gets upset by either USC or CAL.

Arizona State had taken over first place in the Pac-12 South, but had to go on the road against a Utah team that plays very well at home. The Sun Devils were lucky enough to walk away with a 20-19 win, but they will have to play better if they want to beat Oregon State, UCLA, and Arizona to get to the conference title. As for Utah, they now have back to back road games against Oregon and Washington State before ending the year at home against Colorado.

There was another close game in the Pac-12, as UCLA pulled out a late win over Arizona, 31-26. UCLA still controls its own destiny in the Pac-12 South, as they still have yet to play Arizona Sate, the team that they are contending with in the conference. Arizona has shown great promise at times this year, and also played badly at times. This game they looked great, but fell just short. They still can make a good bowl game though, and can look better if they start to win some games late in the year.

USC and Washington both had big wins this week over the Pac-12's worst two teams. USC beat Cal 62-28 while Washington beat Colorado 59-7. USC is still in contention for the South, although they are behind both UCLA and Arizona State. Washington won't be able to catch Oregon or Stanford in the North, but could still get third and make a good bowl game.
