Big 10 Week 11 Review
Not much happened in the Big 10 this week as its top two teams had byes.
Nebraska came through in a big way against Michigan. It was a very close, low scoring game, but the Huskers pulled it out 17-13. Nebraska now has Michigan State next week. The winner should make the conference championship game against Ohio State. Michigan is now out of contention in the Big 10 race, and is also tied with Minnesota for third place in the legends division.
Wisconsin continued to look great, as they still haven't lost since the Ohio State game. They pulled out a bug 27-17 win over a solid BYU team this week, the main reason they were able to win was that their run game was working effectively, as they ran for 229 yards and two scores. Wisconsin could still make a BCS game as an at-large bid if they continue to play like this in their last three games against Indiana, Penn State, and Minnesota.
Minnesota played great once again, beating Penn State 24-10. The Gophers are now 8-2 (4-2). Its been a long time since they have had a season this good, and they don't plan on slowing up now. They have just two games left against Wisconsin and Michigan State. Penn State again showed that it has trouble winning away from Happy Valley, as they are now 0-3 on the road this year, compared to their 5-1 record at home. The good news for Penn State is that two of their final three games are at home, as they play Purdue and Nebraska before going on the road against Wisconsin to end the year.
